Tynwald High is a not-for-profit trust school.  We are a Cambridge International School and are authorised to offer Checkpoint, IGCSE, GCE, “O”, “AS” and “A” Level.

How to Apply

We are delighted you are considering our school! Whether your child is starting their journey in Form 1 or joining us as an upper-form transfer student, we look forward to partnering with you. Our admissions team is ready to guide you through our standard enrolment process outlined below.

Form 1 Applicants:

  • Birth Certificate: A clear, legible copy of the official birth certificate.
  • Grade 7 ZIMSEC Results: Official certificate or statement of results from ZIMSEC.
  • Recommendation Letter: A formal academic reference letter from your child's primary school Head.

For Form 2, Form 3, and Lower 6 Applicants:

  • Birth Certificate: A clear, legible copy of the official birth certificate.
  • Academic Reports: Comprehensive report cards from all previous academic terms.
  • Transfer Letter: An official, signed clearance or transfer note from your child’s current secondary school.

Physical Drop-Off & Cash Payment:

  • Bring the fully completed application form along with your stapled document bundle directly to the school administration office.
  • Physical drop-off is strictly mandatory, as the school application from fee must be paid in cash at the Bursar's office upon submission.

Entrance Examinations (Form 1 Only):

  • Entrance examinations for Form 1 candidates are conducted strictly in May of the prior year.
  • Core Subjects: The assessments evaluate baseline proficiency in core secondary school readiness subjects.
  • Results Notification: The school will evaluate the papers and contact all successful candidates within the month.

Secure the Place:

  • Successful applicants will receive an official admission offer detailing the final enrollment deadline.
  • To lock in your child's student place, you must pay the specified admission fee before the deadline.
  • Please note that this initial admission fee is completely non-refundable
